Over the past 4 months, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of Technology and Fitness FIT2227 at Algonquin College. At first, I was hesitant about this course and questioned its relevance to my future career, but boy, was I wrong.
I have learned invaluable skills about branding, marketing, SEO, and more. For example, I developed marketing strategies by really putting myself in my target audience’s shoes and by looking at what is missing and the demand in the industry. I learned about analytics and methods to retain consumer business. I discovered AI-generated response subscriptions to reply to customer inquiries and offer free consultations to obtain and retain customers. I set up my company in the Google search engine by using common and relevant keywords. I am able to view analytical data such as visits and views so I can assess what needs improvement and what is working well. Furthermore, I believe I have a clear vision of my brand. The colours, services, and logo all represent us well. I put all my effort and passion into researching more in depth about the gut-brain axis and somatic therapy. After this course, I hope to continue with this business name, “WELLE.” I could improve in creating video content by practicing my communication, vocal variety, and video editing skills.
I’ve created a Facebook page, and I will continue to blog and develop a client base until I finish my bachelor’s degree. After I develop a brand personality through my content, I might partner with other professionals, do online consultations, and work in a pop-up clinic until we build something strong so we can open a physical location.
Overall, I am thrilled to have been in this course, and I’m grateful for the things I’ve learned that have given me a foundation for my future career.
